Educational project "Casa Museo Villa Monastero"
Dimoractive Guide for the Teacher
The project will fund a European Interreg III A Italy-Switzerland-DIMORACTIVE born from an idea of the two ringleaders: Association of Castles and Villas Open in Sydney and Tourist Office of Bellinzona and the surrounding area. The intention is to exploit the historic homes of Lombardy and Canton Ticino to make them more useful to visitors, students and fans.
Educational proposed:
Residential home
A path in the history of which illustrate the various rooms of the Villa Monastero and their furnishings, identifying the functional characteristics through changes over time, through the use of different technologies.
Architecture in motion
The history can be explored in various ways. To understand the tools, the problems, the charm of historic places, students can explore at first hand the world of the past and its influences on the present. Reconstruct the stages of transformation of a place means looking perspective in the lives of communities and individuals of the past, with their habits, their ways of thinking, their tastes.
Mobile living to tell a story wood
The objects are the most direct bridge between our sensory experience and the past in which they were created and used. They are powerful storytellers of history and learning to observe, to question them, it means finding a way to really know the past, distant, other.
The portrait: the soul and the face
The other way to portray the human face in painting and the different ways of understanding the portrait over the centuries.
A walk to the botanical garden
The different plant species existing in the park of Villa Monastero examined through direct observation, with the possibility of collecting plant samples. The various activities of sowing, planting, care of plants, made during the year according to the different seasons.
