On Sunday 23 of July Villa Monastero animates itself with music, dance, and performances thanks to Due passi al chiaro di luna, a special show created and directed by Sara Battisti with the Scuola di Musical Original People of Bergamo. The show will enhance the botanical Garden thanks to artistic performances along the property.
From 17.00 to 21.00 will be possible to attend the exhibitions of dancers, actors, and musicians in four different locations of Villa Monastero:
- Near the small neoclassical temple: the performance “La luna e le stelle “(The Moon and the Stars). Sara Battisti will dance with the notes of the violinist Jacopo Ogliari. The beauty of the Garden will be enhanced by the sounds and the movements of the artists: will be an exhibition with a mysterious and dreamlike atmosphere.
- Just a few steps from the small temple: the artists of the Scuola Musical Original People will offer the contemporary and aerial dance show “Le ninfe dei boschi” (Wood nymphs). Dancers and actors will perform with costumes and scenic tricks, on the music of violinist Lindsey Stirling, pianist Ludovico Einaudi and composer Philip Glass.
- In the area of the lake loggia: the Locomotive Band will play Celtic music. Visitors will be able to experience suggestive moments thanks to the music inspired by the famous fantasy trilogy “The lord of the Rings” by Tolkien.
- Area above the dock: the dance show “Sinfonia delle sfere” (Symphony of the Spheres). Artists will show an involving performance based on the tragedy “Salomè” by Oscar Wilde; the performance is in collaboration with Arhat Teatro and under the direction of Pierluigi Castelli and Sara Battisti.
The cost of the event is included in the entrance fee of Villa Monastero.
The initiative is part of the project of redevelopment and enhancement of the Botanical Garden, supported by Pnrr.
