Ville Aperte in Brianza will return with a lot of initiatives during three weekends from 16 September to 1° of October.
The Province of Lecco participates with Villa Monastero of Varenna, the compendium with the late nineteenth-century residence and the botanical Garden.
There is an important requalification project of the botanical Garden thanks to the Pnrr plan that will make the park even more charming.
For the occasion, it is possible to visit Villa Monastero with reduced fees on these weekends: 16-17 September, 23-24 September, 30 September and 1° of October (7 euro entrance to the botanical Garden; and 9 euro entrance to the botanical Garden and the House Museum).
There will be guided paths, in Italian only, on 16-17 September and 1° of October at 14.30 and 16.00, on 30 September at 11.30. Compulsory reservation: www.villeaperte.info.
On Saturday 30 September at 14.30, the cultural walk Il Medioevo – Varenna anno mille: an interesting path from the botanical Garden to the Vezio Castle. The initiative is set up thank to the PNRR project “Valorizzazione dell’identità del Giardino storico di Villa Monastero”. The itinerary is in Italian only and it is organized with the collaboration of the association Il sentiero dei sogni which coordinates the registrations: varennamille.eventbrite.it.
Some museums of the Sistema Museale della provincial di Lecco are open for Ville Aperte: the Orrido and the Ca’ del Diavol in Bellano, the Civico Museo Setificio Monti in Abbadia Lariana, the Museo Archeologico del Barro and the Museo Etnografico dell’Alta Brianza in Galbiate, the Museo della Seta Abegg in Garlate,the Museo del Beato Serafino Morazzone with the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista in the Chiuso district – Lecco, Villa Confalonieri and Fondazione Mozzanica in Merate.
