Yesterday afternoon, Monday, June 22, the exhibition Japan on the Lake: The Shibayama Cabinet of Villa Monastero and the Kimono from the Nancy Martin Stetson Collection was inaugurated at Villa Monastero in Varenna. The exhibition is part of the project Opera Diffusa: Youth, Territory and Operatic Heritage on Lake Como.

The opening ceremony featured remarks by:

• Alessandra Hofmann, President of the Province of Lecco
• Silvia Bosio, Provincial Councillor for Culture and Cultural Heritage
• Anna Ranzi, Curator of the Villa Monastero House Museum and Coordinator of the Museum Network of the Province of Lecco
• Moritz Mantero, President of the Mantero Group

The exhibition will be open to visitors until September 15 during Villa Monastero’s opening hours, with admission granted upon purchase of a ticket for the Botanical Garden and House Museum.
