On March 22nd, a troupe of the Rai (Radiotelevisione italiana), which is managing the organization of the next edition of Eurovision Song Contest, filmed Villa Monastero in order to become the main subject of a Postcard.

The event, which will take place in Turin on 10th, 12th and 14th May 2022, will be broadcasted by Rai 1 and will be hosted by Laura Pausini, Alessandro Cattelan and Mika.

The Postcards are the characteristic element of the event: 40-second videos which will anticipate the performances of the various participants of the competition and will showcase the best of Italy in terms of cities and landscapes, with the aim of promoting and/or rediscovering an Italian location, taking advantage of the important showcase offered by this International music event (183 million viewers last year).

All 40 Postcards will represent 40 interesting Italian places for their historical, architectural and natural beauty, among which Lake Como and Varenna have been selected this year.

The Postcard of Villa Monastero will be combined with a singer or a group, and will be to air in prime time on May 12th. If the singer or group goes to the final, the postcard will also be to air during the evening of May 14th.
