Some silk garments are on sale at the bookshop in Villa Monastero.

The exhibition “Trame Lariane”, curated by Fondazione Setificio, was at the Handicraft Exhibition (Lariofiere – Erba) in the Pavillon dedicated to the excellences and fashion, with unique handmade garments representing local textile and silk companies. The Exhibition was held from 29th October to 2nd November and “Trame Lariane” showed some students creations of the Setificio Paolo Carcano.

The exhibition “Trame Lariane – trame d’arte e di moda” was held, also, at Villa Monastero of Varenna, Villa Carlotta of Tremezzo and Villa Melzi of Bellagio during the last summer. The students, in fact, designed some details of these three historic residences and created unique fashion accessories: a perfect connection between art heritage and textile tradition of the territory.

Personalized foulard, scarves and fashion accessories were really appreciated by tourists and visitors so much that the silk factory Tessile srl of Como has made some silk garments which are on sale at Villa Monastero, thanks to the agreement between the Provincia di Lecco and the Istituto Paolo Carcano.

Trame Lariane is part of the Unesco Project of Como city of silk.
