Villa Monastero aired on TF1, the first French channel with 7 million viewers, as part of the reportage by journalist Louise Malnoy Voyage – Découvrir le lac de Côme à bord de machines centenaires.

It represents a journey through time to discover Lake Como on board a hundred-year-old steam train and a historic steamboat “Concordia”.

The landing place is Villa Monastero in Varenna where you are amazed by the beauty of the house with a history of nine-century, described by the Conservator Anna Ranzi, and by the botanical Garden with its botanical rarities from around the world. Valerio Cozzi, who is the works manager of the botanical Garden redevelopment project, showed the main features of the Garden and presented the important works in progress.
