The initiative Ville Aperte in Brianza Autumn Edition will be from 14th to 29th September: three weekends where will be possible to visit locations often inaccessible.
The Province of Lecco, also this year, takes part in the initiative with Villa Monastero of Varenna, even more charming thanks to some enhancement and requalification works.
Will be possible to enter Villa Monastero with the special ticket dedicated to Ville Aperte during these days: 14th-15th September, 21st-22nd September, and 28th-29th September (reduced ticket prices: botanical Garden + House Museum € 9,00; botanical Garden € 7,00). Guided tour (in Italian only) on Sunday 15th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September at 14.30 and 16.00: mandatory reservation on the website www.villeaperte.info
To mark the European Heritage Days, will be presented a new area of the Garden: the Nuns’ Garden, realized thanks to PNRR.
From September to early November, will be the exhibition Botanica dei sentimenti: erbari, miniature, paesaggi di lago nell’età di Manzoni. The initiative will show images, paintings, and prints of Lake Como gardens and villas, and miniature portraits of the XIX century. Will be also, for the first time, the comparison between two herbaria dating back to the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
This year in the province of Lecco area 57 sites located in 28 municipalities joined the event with museums, religious buildings, small hamlets etc.
