South-east Room

This was Carlotta Kees’ bedroom. After the requisition of the Villa in 1918, she asked for the return of her furniture; the Italian State granted her the right to have it back. In this room there are now elegant Lombard chest of drawers and a few paintings that belonged to the De Marchi family: portrait of a gentleman from the 19th century, views of ruins from the 18th century, the intense and rare Nativity with Saint Elizabeth in Nordic style, the Flute Player and Saint Jerome of Lombard manufacture.
